Porsche ID (PID)

Overview

Porsche ID is the account Porsche customers use to manage their profile. Our team owns profile management: the features customers use to view and update their personal data, and the backend services that power them.

I've worked on the project since August 2024 as a software engineer at TREE IT, on a client engagement for Porsche AG. I work across the whole stack, from Kotlin services and AWS infrastructure to the Angular frontend, and the product keeps evolving with new features and improvements to the customer experience.

Recent Feature implemented: comfort vehicle login

Comfort vehicle login lets customers log in to their vehicle using their mobile app. It removes steps from the first login inside the car, so the moment a customer first gets into their Porsche feels seamless.

How we work

• Agile sprints. A highly motivated team that gives constant feedback and takes shared ownership of what we ship.
• Spec-driven development. We recently adopted GitHub's Spec Kit. Each feature starts as a written specification that drives planning and implementation, so intent is agreed on before code is written.
• AI-assisted engineering. We use AI tools deliberately to move faster and shorten time to market, without lowering the quality bar.
